The Oxnard Police Department announced the arrest of Alyssa Carranza, a 31-year-old resident of Oxnard, for her alleged connection to multiple criminal sexual acts involving a minor. The arrest, which took place on Wednesday, is tied to offenses that span from 2012 to 2022 and involve five identified victims ranging from 4 to 16 years old at the time of the crimes, as reported by the Oxnard Police Department. Carranza had previously been arrested in 2023 for separate offenses against minors, this pattern signaling a decade of predatory behavior.
Carranza’s initial 2023 arrest led to a deeper investigation, during which Family Protection Unit detectives identified another victim, resulting in the recent charges. She was arrested again on Wednesday, posted bond, and was released, according to the Oxnard Police Department. Investigators believe the incidents occurred in the Oxnard area, and Carranza’s next court appearance is scheduled for today. Detectives continue to investigate and are working to determine if additional victims have yet to be identified.
