A fire incident involving a dog grooming trailer and an SUV in Stuart has led to the arrest of a man from Palm City. On the morning of August 16, a 911 call was placed just after 5 a.m. to report a blazing fire consuming both structures; the Stuart Police Department (SPD) and multiple agencies quickly responded to the scene, as reported by CBS12.
Surveillance footage revealed a truck, identified as belonging to Jonathan Francis Bolander, 36, in the vicinity of the fire shortly before it erupted. Bolander's vehicle was seen passing by the home just moments before onlookers were startled by the blaze. After an investigation involving SPD, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, Stuart Fire Rescue, and the State of Florida Bureau of Fire and Arson, Bolander now faces serious charges. He was arrested yesterday, and it's stated by TCPalm that if convicted, he could be facing up to 30 years in prison and a $10,000 fine for each count of arson.
