Yesterday, 36-year-old Adam Lew of Pittsburg was arrested at the Brentwood Police Department after attempting to make a payment using a credit card that was not his own. The details of this arrest were posted by the City of Brentwood Police Department on their official social media, providing a glimpse into what could only be summarized as a bold act gone wrong. The police department reported that Lew attempted to settle tow fees when his fraudulent act was discovered.
It was around 11:30 AM when Lew walked into the police department. As detailed by the Brentwood Police Department, the cards Lew attempted to use brought his intentions directly to light. What he might have hoped to resolve led to his immediate arrest. Lew was subsequently found to have drugs and burglary tools, additional charges that would quickly compound his already precarious situation.
The Brentwood Police Department conveyed through their post that Lew was taken into custody without incident. From the police department lobby, Lew was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
