As autumn crispness settles upon Plymouth, the community can anticipate an added dose of local splendor with the upcoming Fall Farmers Market on the Boulevard. Slated for 2-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 8, this one-day-only event will bring together around 25 vendors on Plymouth Boulevard, nestled between 35th and 36th avenues right in the heart of Plymouth City Center.
Those looking to savor the harvest will find an array of fresh produce and prepared foods up for grabs, alongside a selection of handcrafted items perfect for seasonal decor or early holiday shopping. Although a number of vendors are equipped to accept credit card payments, the presence of some who do not, means marketgoers are advised to arrive with cash in hand. In an effort to make fresh food accessible to all, the market integrates food assistance for SNAP participants. Eligible shoppers can obtain tokens at the City of Plymouth booth by using their EBT cards, to be used with vendors participating in the program.
Pets, with the exception of service dogs, will have to sit this one out, as they are not permitted at the Plymouth Farmers Market. For those concerned about health and safety, handwashing stations are set up throughout — ensuring a clean, sanitizer-friendly environment for everyone.
Those planning their visit should note that Plymouth Boulevard will be closed to traffic both ways from 35th to 36th avenues from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on market day to facilitate the setting up and the dismantling of stalls. The 36th Avenue N. roundabout is set to remain open, providing access to neighboring amenities such as Life Time and the Plymouth Ice Center. Convenient parking options are available on surrounding streets, Plymouth City Hall, and the Plymouth Ice Center parking lot—catering to those driving into the market.
With Metronet and South Lake Pediatrics backing the event, the 2025 Plymouth Farmers Market promises to be a fitting tribute to local produce and craft, while nurturing community ties.
