In a show of appreciation for those who've served, the City of Plymouth has announced it will be hosting a free drive-thru breakfast for veterans on the morning of November 6. Between 9:30 and 11 a.m., veterans living in Plymouth can swing by the Plymouth Veterans Memorial at 3400 Plymouth Blvd to grab a hearty breakfast without even leaving their cars.
This isn't just a quick cup of joe and a pastry kind of deal. Veterans will get to enjoy a breakfast sandwich, fresh fruit, and a choice of Caribou coffee or tea, all on the house. Plus, if they'd like to bring a guest, they can do so for $12, which is a small price to pay for a shared meal in good company. But remember, it's one guest per veteran, so don't roll up with a full entourage expecting to be fed.
Plymouth is making it easy for vehicles to navigate from the City Hall parking lot right to the memorial for the drive-thru event, ensuring that the only effort required on the part of the attendees is to show up and enjoy. And the city isn't stopping there; veterans will also receive a small thank-you gift with their meal. According to information gleaned from the City's announcement, these gestures are a token of Plymouth's gratitude toward its community's veterans.
To partake in the event, veterans do need to register beforehand, with an October 30 deadline looming. Registration can be done either through the city's website or by directly calling the Plymouth Parks and Recreation Department at 763-509-5200. Whether it's digital or via a good old-fashioned phone call, securing a spot at this drive-thru breakfast is a must for those interested. It's a small step to ensure that the city can accommodate all who served, and serve them well come November.
