
In an effort to bolster emergency response capabilities, the City of Morristown's Fire Station 3 has recently become a training ground for a diverse group of fire department recruits. According to a social media post by City of Morristown - Government, a Fall Recruit class comprising 19 students from eight different fire departments underwent extensive training last week.
At the forefront of this intensive program, the recruits were immersed in learning 64 skill sets about essential firefighting functions. With a focus on water supply, hose management, appliance operation, and hose advancement, as detailed by the City of Morristown.
They come from neighboring departments that include Kingsport, Johnson City, Jefferson City, Bristol, Cocke County, Eastman, and Elizabethton. "We look forward to hosting them again for two weeks in October when they will obtain their HMTO certification," the City of Morristown stated.
