On Friday, the Roane County Sheriff’s Office responded to Caney Creek Road near Joiner Hollow Road, where a man was found dead around 4:30 a.m. A car believed to be connected to him was discovered less than a mile away after running into an embankment. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
Authorities in Roane County are investigating the death of a man described as a white male, about 28 years old. “The man’s body has been sent to the medical examiner,” Public Information Officer Tim Phillips said, as reported by WVLT-TV. An autopsy is scheduled at the Knox County Regional Forensic Center. The Roane County Sheriff’s Office is canvassing the area and asking anyone with information to contact investigators, according to WATE.
