The San José Police Department has reported the arrest of two suspects in connection with a violent attack that took place earlier this year, leading to two victims sustaining serious stab wounds. According to official communication from the San José Police Department, the incident occurred on March 7, in which an adult male and an adult female were assaulted near 21st Street and East Santa Clara Street. The victims managed to get themselves to a local hospital, sparking the investigation.
During the assault, it is alleged that one suspect, Francisco Silva, used a box cutter to wound the male victim while the second suspect, Oscar Garcia Gamboa, is accused of stabbing the female victim with a broken bottle. SJPD Assaults Unit Detectives took the lead on the case, securing arrest warrants for Silva and Garcia Gamboa following an intensive probe into the circumstances of that harrowing night. The pair were also connected to residences that were consequently subject to search warrants.
The outcome of this meticulous investigation led to a breakthrough last Wednesday, when both Silva and Garcia Gamboa were located by authorities and taken into custody in San José. The suspects have since been booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail and are currently facing charges of attempted murder.
