According to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office, Kovrizhynkh was last in contact with family on July 5, during a cross-country trip that took her through San Diego County. Her vehicle and trailer were subsequently discovered unattended in Potrero, sparking concerns for her safety.
Detectives have posited the possibility that Kovrizhynkh may have tried to cross into Mexico and could currently be in the Tecate area of Baja California. Efforts are being made to closely cooperate with authorities across the border as well as conduct a thorough investigation in the surrounding areas where her belongings were found. Meanwhile, the Sheriff's Office is reaching out to the public, urging anyone who might have information to come forward and help to possibly locate Kovrizhynkh.
The Sheriff's Office distributed photos of Kovrizhynkh who stands 5'5" tall and weighs 100 pounds. She has blond hair, blue eyes, and is known to have several tattoos on her arms. Authorities suggest that she may be using a wig or using the name "Angel Volnaya." Locals and visitors in the region have been asked to remain vigilant and report any sightings or information that could lead to her being found.
