DeKalb County officials are in the throes of piecing together the scenes of a recent shooting that has left a business on Memorial Drive riddled with bullets. According to WSB Radio, the shooting occurred last Friday afternoon, sparking a heavy police response to the 5000 block of Memorial Drive near Rockbridge Road. The suspects were reportedly quick to flee the scene, having successfully evaded the law before their arrival.
The incident grew in complexity as it was unveiled by FOX 5 Atlanta to be potentially entrenched in illegal activity. The DeKalb County police have since suggested that the shooting was drug-related, and the target, Beauty Exposed salon, is alleged to have been a front for selling narcotics. Despite the chaos, no injuries were reported, but the property did not emerge unscathed, with several bullet holes observed in the facade of the business.
While the shooters remain stubbornly elusive, the police have managed to detain four individuals on drug and gun charges. Named suspects include Jason Hill, aged 26; Shanteria Sommerville, 33; Shalom Avraham, 41; and Delilah Ardis, 63. These arrests are part of a continuing investigation into the incident and the broader criminal activities implied by the police findings.
