A youth was transported to the hospital via helicopter after sustaining injuries during a football practice session. The practice took place at Old National Park in South Fulton yesterday evening, just past 7 p.m. FOX 5 Atlanta reported that officials confirmed the child was quickly airlifted to a local trauma center for further evaluation and to receive necessary treatment.
The situation unfolded with the child's parents present, who were informed immediately as the incident occurred. Subsequent to the injury, football practice was abruptly called to an end. The youth was a member of the Old National Knights, a local youth football team, a detail mentioned in a statement by Mayor Khalid "Kobi" Kamau in an Atlanta News First interview. “He and the entire Old National Knights family are in our prayers tonight,” the mayor said.
