Swift action from law enforcement has reunited South San Francisco residents with their stolen belongings. In a recent early morning operation, officers from the South San Francisco Police Department quickly tracked down. They apprehended two juvenile suspects and recovered a cache of stolen items in the process.
The situation unfolded when a victim reported a stolen cell phone and laptop, which were actively tracked near El Camino Real and Hickey Blvd. Officers from both the graveyard and day shifts could rapidly locate the suspects at a BART Station, momentarily halting trains to effectively prevent the suspects from escaping. According to a social media post by the South San Francisco Police Department, the two 16-year-old males from Belmont, who were already on juvenile probation, were found responsible for additional property crimes around San Mateo County.
With various stolen goods back with their original owners, the police department has taken this opportunity to remind the public about the importance of securing valuables and keeping vehicles locked. The fast response and teamwork displayed by the officers involved have been applauded.
