Motorists in Sullivan County are advised of a temporary closure on State Route 93 due to scheduled construction activities. Beginning Friday at 6:00 p.m., traffic will be halted between Murrell Lane and State Route 347 (Lone Star Road) to allow crews to install a new culvert crossing, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
During the closure, northbound travelers on State Route 93 will be directed to detour via I-81 North to Exit 57, then continue on I-26 West to Exit 4. Southbound motorists will be rerouted to I-26 East to Exit 8A, followed by I-81 South to Exit 50.
Local traffic will retain access via Derby Drive.
