A man was killed in a shooting incident in Walnut Park East, and a suspect has been taken into custody following the events on Saturday. The disturbance unraveled just after 6:30 p.m. in the 5700 block of Henner. District officers who arrived at the scene reported finding a 54-year-old man attempting to make an escape. They managed to detain him before he could flee, according to St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
Upon arrival, authorities encountered an adult male lying in the street with gunshot wounds. Emergency Medical Services were quickly on the scene, and the victim was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
