Suspected Teen Arrested in Duluth for Fatal Shooting and Crime Spree in Atlanta

A 16-year-old suspect has been arrested by the Duluth Police Department in Minnesota, connected to a spate of crimes in Atlanta, highlighted by a fatal shooting that happened on June 17, the Atlanta Police Department has reported. The juvenile, whose name has not been released due to their age, faces a litany of charges, including homicide, armed robbery, kidnapping, possession of a firearm, aggravated assault, hijacking of a motor vehicle, and theft, as detailed in a press release by the Atlanta Police Department.

The teen is awaiting extradition to Atlanta in connection with a homicide that occurred earlier this summer on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. The incident occurred around 8:11 p.m. on June 17, when officers responded to a reported shooting at 2423 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive NW. An adult male was found with a fatal gunshot wound and pronounced dead at the scene.
