Early on a quiet September morning, Char, a dining spot located at 431 South Highland, became the target of a burglary that has left the local community looking for answers. According to reports by the Memphis Police Department, the establishment was broken into by four individuals at the pre-dawn hour of 4:25 a.m. on September 11, 2025.
Security footage captured from the scene shows the suspects making their way into the building and subsequently absconding with a safe, which contained an estimated $1,000 worth of silverware, along with multiple bottles of premium liquor. The suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction after carrying out their calculated pilferage. The police have not yet released descriptions of the suspects or the vehicle they may have used, leaving the case open and the perpetrators at large.
As the investigation progresses, the Memphis Police Department urges anyone who might have relevant information to come forward and assist in the recovery of Char's stolen goods and the capture of those responsible for the theft. A call to Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH (2274) could be the key to cracking the case and preventing further incidents of this nature across the Memphis area.
