In a turn of events that found crime interleaved with fast food cravings, two alleged shoplifters from TJ Maxx ended up behind bars instead of enjoying their meals at a nearby Wendy's. The Auburn Police Department reported that on August 13, the duo swept up merchandise exceeding $2,000 from the shopping establishment before opting to grab a bite directly across the street from their purported felony scene. Their brash decision proved to be a clear-cut recipe for capture rather than celebration.

According to an Auburn MA Police Department social media post, Sgt. Wildman, a frequent patron of the Wendy’s drive-thru, managed to quickly locate the suspects' vehicle waiting in line for service. It didn't take long for the women to trade their meal orders for handcuffs and a subsequent arrest on charges of Larceny Over $1,200 and Conspiracy.

The two apprehended individuals were identified as 38-year-old Dominque Marion of Worcester and 24-year-old Tynaja Williams of New Haven, CT by the Auburn Police. Officers uncovering the goods in the escape vehicle found more than the TJ Maxx haul – they also stumbled upon a cache of items tentatively identified as stolen from other area retailers.

This discovery has prompted further investigation, with Detectives Bresse and Ryan collaborating with neighboring departments to potentially levy additional charges.
