Last Sunday, a thief targeted Jim Kera's Nissan at 2080 Covington Pike, stripping it of its tires and retreating into the anonymity of the night. According to a Memphis Police Department report, the theft occurred at approximately 1:45 AM, the calm disrupted by the calculated actions of a suspect whose identity, much like the plate number of their getaway vehicle, remains unknown.
The only leads to emerge thus far paint a spare figure—a culprit clad in a dark-colored hoodie, black shorts, and the fleeting image of a white Jeep with a sunroof. The police's request for information feels like a shot in the dark, a hope that someone, somewhere, might recognize this scant silhouette.
