Three teenagers, including an 18-year-old from Buda named Diego Alejandro Tijerina, have been taken into custody in the wake of a shooting incident in Kyle that resulted in the injury of another teen, as per the local authorities. The event unfolded on July 29th on Hometown Parkway and has been characterized by police as a "planned meet-up." CBS Austin reports that the victim received treatment at a hospital and has since been released.
It has been disclosed that each of the suspects, including Tijerina and two unnamed juveniles, is facing serious allegations, among which are aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, deadly conduct, and engaging in organized criminal activity. Despite the progress made in the case, the Kyle Police Department has expressed its efforts to continue to thoroughly piece together the circumstances of the occurrence. In a statement obtained by KXAN, authorities urged "anyone with any information to contact Detective Carrasco."
