A man in Tulsa is recovering from serious gunshot wounds after being shot while traversing the intersection of N. 129th E. Ave. and Admiral Pl., a scene that has become all too familiar in urban America. The 33-year-old victim, whose identity has yet to be disclosed, was reportedly walking from the Flying J when, according to the statement obtained by the Tulsa Police Department, "an unknown man wearing a ski mask fired three shots at him, then took off." Left with severe injuries to his stomach and waist, the victim sought refuge in a nearby apartment complex from where help was summoned.
Tulsa Police Department responded to the 911 call around 10:20 p.m., and the victim was ultimately transported to the hospital in serious condition. Meanwhile, the perpetrator of this callous act – shrouded in the anonymity provided by a ski mask – remains at large, leaving the community on edge and law enforcement in pursuit of elusive leads.
