A tragic incident unfolded on a stretch of US 60 near Wittmann.  The collision involving an SUV and a semi-truck resulted in serious injuries to two children and an adult on Saturday, as per 12 News.

According to ABC15, one of the children was airlifted in critical condition to Phoenix Children’s Hospital, while the other child and the adult were both transported with serious injuries to the same hospital and the John C. Lincoln Deer Valley Hospital, respectively.

Authorities are looking into the cause of the crash that happened just before noon near milepost 129, as confirmed by the Arizona Department of Public Safety. Amidst the chaos, with serious injuries sustained by the victims, the eastbound lanes were closed while the situation was addressed by first responders.

The Arizona Fire and Medical Authority, along with Surprise Fire and Medical, were reported on the scene by ABC15. While tackling the emergency, no firefighter injuries were reported.
