
Two individuals were injured during a shooting incident in Southeast Portland on Friday night, amidst a public gathering. According to a report by KOIN, the incident took place near SE 82nd and Harrison Street, resulting in the hospitalization of the two victims with non-life-threatening injuries. The area witnessed a temporary closure of SE Harrison Street between 82nd Ave. and 84th Ave. following the event.
KPTV reported that the shooting occurred at a plaza within the area during what was described as a gathering. Despite the violence, both victims are expected to survive their injuries. The incident appears to have caused some disturbance in the community, but it did not result in any fatalities.
Adding to the details, KATU noted that there might have been a third individual who was grazed by a bullet during the said shooting. In response to the crime, the Portland Police Bureau's Focused Intervention Team was deployed to the location. As of the latest updates, police have not taken anyone into custody in connection with the shooting, leaving open questions about the perpetrator or perpetrators responsible for the incident.
