
Two men have been charged in connection with a 2022 homicide that took a young man's life on Mount Zion Road SE, Atlanta. The Atlanta Police Department reports that 22-year-old Adarian Bean was charged with murder and robbery last year, with new details emerging about his apprehension. Yesterday, Bean was found at the Woodbury County Jail in Sioux City, Iowa, and will now be extradited to the Fulton County Jail for processing. In a separate but related development, 25-year-old Khyree Swift faced similar charges of murder and aggravated assault for his role in the fatal shooting. Swift's arrest took place on October 23rd, 2024, by the Atlanta Police Department, and he was transported to the a Fulton County Jail. While both suspects are now in custody, the repercussions of that fateful day in July of 2022 continue to reverberate through the community.
The initial incident, which occurred nearly three years ago, was a somber affair – officers responded to a call regarding a person shot at 183 Mount Zion Road SE. Sadly, a 17-year-old male was found with a gunshot wound, and despite being rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. Investigators have been diligently working to unravel the events that led to the teenager's death. According to the Atlanta Police Department, the investigation by the Homicide Unit is ongoing. The legal process now moves forward with both Bean and Swift facing their respective charges.
