Two people died in a crash on Interstate 10 in Calcasieu Parish. The incident occurred on Tuesday and involved a single Kenworth commercial motor vehicle that left the roadway and struck trees before catching fire.
The Louisiana State Police stated in a release that the cause of the crash is still under investigation. The vehicle became fully engulfed in flames after the collision near Louisiana Highway 383 on I-10 East.
The identities of the two people inside the vehicle have not been released pending notification of their families. Troopers are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
