Two men have been arrested following a robbery at a Centennial neighborhood lounge late Sunday night. According to Gresham Police Department's report, officers received a call about the armed robbery just before the clock struck midnight. The incident unfolded in the 2400 block of SE 182nd Avenue, with police concluding their swift response by the apprehension of two suspects.
After an officer spotted the getaway car fleeing eastbound on Division Street, the suspects attempted escape on foot following a short vehicle pursuit. Dante Jumpingbull, 35, of Portland, was quickly arrested, while Zackary Landreth, 31, also of Portland, led officers into a neighborhood chase. Walking away from the established perimeter, William Hicks was detained, bearing no involvement in the crime but with an outstanding warrant greeting him nonetheless.
The pursuit of Landreth came to a close after a K9 unit tracked down a trail of cash leading to his capture. The Gresham Police Department confirmed that "large amounts of cash" were found in Landreth's pockets upon his arrest. Both Jumpingbull and Landreth were charged with robbery and are currently held at jail.
Hicks, caught leaving the area where officers were hunting the suspects, was taken into custody on his unrelated warrant. As for the robbery's driver and vehicle, investigators are keeping details under wraps at present and continue to encourage tips via the Gresham Police tip line at 503-618-3066.
