Matthew Price, a senior at UC, spent his summer in Miami tackling cyber threats as a co-op for the globally recognized travel company, Royal Caribbean. According to the University of Cincinnati's official news page, Price proved his mettle within a special team of interns, applying his academic insights to real-world digital security challenges.
Price, who serves as the president of Cyber@UC, is no stranger to the co-op scene. He scored the Royal Caribbean position using Handshake, a platform that seems to have served as a launching pad for multiple co-op/internships he's secured. His decision to step out of Cincinnati and embrace the new experience in Miami was a simple one. “I saw Royal Caribbean, Miami, FL, and thought, ‘Why not?’” Price told the University of Cincinnati. And with a streamlined interview process that included a single discussion with the threat intelligence team’s manager after an initial HR call, he snagged one of five internship spots on the team.
