The Five Points Center for Active Adults is offering a hands-on watercolor class this September for adults interested in learning the basics of painting. Participants will cover topics such as paper selection, brush use, and essential techniques, along with practicing elements like texture, value, line, shape, space, and form. A review of the color wheel is also included, helping students apply what they learn to create original artwork.
Classes take place every Tuesday from September 2 through September 30, running from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The cost is $33 for the full program. Students must bring their own supplies, with a detailed supply list available online or at the Five Points front desk.
The program is open to adults ages 18 and older and provides an opportunity to build new skills in watercolor painting, according to the City of Raleigh's announcement.
