Raleigh’s Five Points Center for Active Adults will host a series of art workshops called Visions of Peace starting September 10. Led by award-winning artist Adrienne Garnett, the program is open to anyone 18 and older and focuses on expressing emotions through different art mediums.
The workshops will run on Wednesdays through September 24, with each session lasting two hours. The cost is $22, and participants are asked to bring their own supplies, which are listed online or available at the center’s front desk.
According to Raleigh Parks and Recreation, Garnett will guide attendees in using various techniques while encouraging them to explore creativity and self-expression. No prior art experience is required.
The Visions of Peace series is designed to provide a supportive and creative space for participants. Registration is now open, and spots may fill quickly. More information, including how to register, can be found on Raleigh’s official Parks and Recreation website.
