A Villa Rica man with a history of child molestation convictions has been arrested on multiple counts of child exploitation. Joseph Vansickle, aged 49, finds himself entangled in the legal system once again after Villa Rica police charged him with seven counts of child exploitation, as reported by FOX 5 Atlanta. The arrest occurred last Thursday, and Vansickle is currently held in Carroll County Jail.

The investigation was initiated when Detective J. O’Neal was tipped off, leading the police to quickly and decisively move to search Vansickle's property. In the process of their search, police found material of a sexually explicit nature that is believed to involve minors, though they have reported that, fortunately, no local children seem to be involved. The operation included assistance from a Cobb County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit, trained specifically to detect such electronic devices.

Vansickle's arrest in Carroll County isn't his only legal predicament; he is also facing repercussions for an unrelated charge in Coweta County, which violated terms of his probation from an external jurisdiction. As WSB-TV notes, Vansickle was previously convicted of child molestation, with his record including a conviction in St. Paul, Minn., and two counts in Gwinnett County back in 2007. Additionally, he is a registered sex offender.
