Early Thursday morning, a 16-year-old girl was left critically injured after a shooting in Chicago's Washington Park neighborhood. The incident occurred inside a residence on the 5600 block of South Michigan Avenue shortly before 7:10 a.m., as reported by WGN-TV. Upon responding to the scene, officers discovered the victim with a gunshot wound to the chin.
The girl was quickly transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where she was listed in critical condition.
