
Early Thursday morning, a 16-year-old girl was left critically injured after a shooting in Chicago's Washington Park neighborhood. The incident occurred inside a residence on the 5600 block of South Michigan Avenue shortly before 7:10 a.m., as reported by WGN-TV. Upon responding to the scene, officers discovered the victim with a gunshot wound to the chin.
The girl was quickly transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where she was listed in critical condition. Details surrounding the shooting, including the circumstances of how she was shot and by whom, remained unclear.
