An early morning shooting in Atlanta left a 20-year-old woman injured, prompting an active investigation by police. According to the Atlanta Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire near 182 Courtland St. NE around 3:28 a.m. yesterday.
Upon arrival, officers found the woman conscious and breathing with an apparent gunshot wound. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities believe she was near the intersection of Courtland St. NE and Andrew Young International Blvd. NE when she heard the gunfire and was struck.
Detectives from the Atlanta Police Department were called to the scene to collect evidence and interview witnesses.
