
Eight students were hospitalized following a collision between their school bus and a car on Route 128 in Weston, as reported by NBC Boston. The incident occurred yesterday afternoon around 1:30 p.m. near Exit 39, with Massachusetts State Police and Weston Emergency Medical Services responding to the scene.
All eight students, confirmed by the Weston Fire Department, sustained only minor injuries from the crash and were transported to Newton Wellesley Hospital, while both vehicles, notably displayed by aerial video, showed the school bus against the guardrail and a black sedan within the breakdown lane, had to be towed from the accident site state police said both vehicles had to be towed from the scene, a fact echoed by Boston 25 News.
At this time, the specific school district to which the bus belongs has not been disclosed. Investigation into the crash is ongoing as authorities work to establish the cause, with the state of the vehicle drivers and any potential contributing road or weather conditions still being assessed.
