Reality TV personality Sarper Güven is bringing his stand-up comedy act to San Francisco's North Beach neighborhood this November, continuing what's become a surprisingly successful pivot from exotic dancer to touring comedian.
The 90 Day Fiancé star will perform at Cobb's Comedy Club on November 2nd at 3 PM, marking one stop on an extensive national tour that includes over 20 cities from Houston to New York. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster, with the Turkish-born performer billing himself as offering "sharp, hilarious takes on marriage, jealousy, and the wild cultural differences between Turkish and American life."
From Reality TV Villain to Sold-Out Shows
Güven's journey to the comedy stage reads like an unlikely redemption arc. According to CinemaBlend, he's been selling out venues and adding second shows—something that's shocked even longtime 90 Day Fiancé watchers who remember his awkward first on-screen comedy attempt. During that televised performance, he abandoned his prepared material to roast his girlfriend Shekinah Garner's ex-boyfriend Dan, turning what started as comedy into pointed insults that confused much of the audience.
But things have changed since that rocky debut. By July 2025, Güven was announcing sold-out Washington D.C. shows and adding second performances to meet demand, as reported by Yahoo Entertainment. The publication noted that the Istanbul native is "pulling in crowds wanting to see his stand-up comedy," though they acknowledged some attendees likely come just to be in the same room as a 90 Day Fiancé cast member.
Legal Drama Shadows the Tour
The comedy career hasn't been without controversy. In late July 2025, according to The Ashley's Reality Roundup, Güven was served legal documents while on stage at a California comedy club. The $100,000 lawsuit, filed by Hypomania Productions and CEO Lisa Sundstedt, accuses him of breach of contract, fraud, and defamation following show cancellations. The complaint seeks damages plus interest and attorney's fees.
Despite the legal troubles, Güven has continued touring. Screen Rant characterized his comedy expansion as a "major career milestone," noting he was hosting "Boot Laugh" sessions—a hybrid workout and comedy class—across multiple cities.
The Venue: A San Francisco Comedy Institution
Cobb's Comedy Club, where Güven will perform, has been presenting top comedy talent since 1982. According to the club's official website, the 400-seat venue relocated to its current 915 Columbus Avenue location in 2002 following a fire at its previous Fisherman's Wharf home. The North Beach club features a full dinner menu and bar, with headliners who regularly appear on late-night shows and Netflix specials.
For San Francisco comedy fans curious about the reality TV-to-standup phenomenon—or just looking for an unusual Sunday afternoon—tickets for Güven's November 2nd show are currently on sale.
