Clarksville streets will see heavy activity on Saturday as over 900 runners take part in the 2nd Annual Clarksville Half Marathon & 5K, presented by Hankook Tire Manufacturing Tennessee. Southbound lanes on Riverside Dr. will close at 5 a.m., with downtown streets near APSU shutting down at 6:30 a.m., and Liberty Park remaining inaccessible until runners pass Cumberland Dr, as reported by the Clarksville Police Department.

The Clarksville Police Department is advising residents not to park along the race route starting at 4 a.m. Roads are expected to reopen by 10:30 a.m., and commuters should anticipate detours and delays throughout the morning.

Clarksville will host a Half Marathon & 5K downtown, with spectators able to view the race along Franklin St. According to the Clarksville Police Department on their Facebook page, "The City Parking Garage (Commerce & First St.) has 500+ free weekend spots, and all metered downtown parking is free." Runners will pass through the city’s historic streets, and Highway 48 near Liberty Park and Public Square will reopen immediately after the race.
