The City of Acworth has declared October as National Arts and Humanities Month. Mayor Allegood and the city council issued the proclamation on Thursday last week, joined by representatives from local nonprofit organizations, including the Acworth Cultural Arts Center and the Save Acworth History Foundation, according to the City of Acworth’s official site.
The proclamation highlights the contributions of local groups such as the Acworth Arts Alliance, Acworth Cultural Arts, the Save Acworth History Foundation, and the Acworth Downtown Development Authority Public Art Committee. These organizations play a key role in preserving history and promoting the arts within the community.
The city expressed its gratitude to community volunteers and nonprofits for their continued work to support Acworth’s quality of life.
