An urgent AMBER Alert issued by the Louisiana State Police on behalf of the New Orleans Police Department for Braylon Parker, the five-month-old abducted by his non-custodial father, has been canceled. Braylon was last seen at 3719 Washington Avenue in New Orleans, taken around 6:38 p.m. Louisiana State Police stated that Braylon is a young black male with a bald head and brown eyes, last noted wearing blue clothing and swaddled in a blue blanket.
According to authorities, the suspect, Braydon Nix, entered the home on Washington Avenue and assaulted Parker's mother before taking the child. Nix stands around 6’3” tall and weighs approximately 200 pounds. His last known attire was a khaki jacket, black shirt, green cargo pants, and khaki tennis shoes. Police believe he was traveling on foot following the abduction. The motive behind the incident and the current status of Braylon and Nix were not immediately available.
The New Orleans Police Department (Sixth District) appealed to the public, requesting anyone with information regarding Braylon's whereabouts to contact them at 504-821-2222 or dial 911 for local law enforcement. This plea underscores the critical nature of community involvement in cases of missing children, where every second can mean the difference between a safe return and a prolonged search.
