Apache Junction residents should get ready to declutter their homes and safely dispose of unwanted hazardous materials during the upcoming collection event. The city has announced that on November 15, 2025, from 8 a.m. to noon, the Apache Junction Public Works Yard at 575 E. Baseline Ave. will be the place to be if you're looking to get rid of household hazardous waste. In a proactive measure to help maintain a clean and safe environment, residents can drop off items, including used oil, coolant, paint, batteries, and more.

Accepted goods include white goods such as washers and dryers; electronics like your outdated computers and TVs; and even passenger vehicle tires, as long as they've been separated from their rims. Additionally, those with a backlog of documents can take advantage of on-site shredding services to securely discard sensitive papers.

This initiative isn't just for Apache Junction denizens. According to the city's announcement, the event is also welcoming those from Pinal County north and east of the city limits, inclusive of the Gold Canyon area. However, there is a caveat: this is for residential waste only, not for commercial businesses, so business owners will need other plans for their hazardous leftovers.

Comprehending that some individuals may not have the capacity to transport their waste, the city has a solution. The Apache Junction Community Development Corporation is offering pickups for disabled residents who request assistance at least one week ahead of the event. This gesture ensures that all who need to participate can, with minimal fuss. For questions, the Public Works Department is available for clarification at (480) 474-1055.
