Nonprofits in Arlington have a chance to boost their skills with the final set of courses in the 2025 Impact Learning Series, hosted by the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation (ATF). Designed to enforce and build capacity within the local nonprofit community, the ATF is offering a trio of courses aimed to educate and empower nonprofit workers, from board members to volunteers. These sessions are free of charge, thanks to ATF underwriting all associated costs, as reported by the City of Arlington.

The first upcoming course is "Muffins & Momentum: Show Me the Money! Grant Funding Sources Uncovered," where participants will quickly learn to identify new grant opportunities. Scheduled for October 9, it's designed to rapidly help attendees discover potential sources of funding. Despite a waiting list, interested organizations are still strongly encouraged to sign up for notifications on opening spots, as more openings often become available.

Following up is "Grub & Grow: Happily Ever After: Telling Your Unique Story as a Nonprofit" on October 24. This particular workshop focuses on the narrative aspect, providing tools and strategies for nonprofits to effectively share their story and mission. Practical examples of how a well-told story can enhance marketing efforts are a highlight of this session, ensuring attendees walk away with actionable knowledge.

The series culminates with "Chat & Chew: Fundraising for Sustainable Growth" on November 18. Here, participants will delve into sustainable fundraising practices geared towards long-term success. According to the City of Arlington, "You'll assess the strengths and opportunities in your organization, then explore practical tools to take your fundraising to the next level." Similar to the first course, there is currently a waitlist, but open slots are expected to be announced periodically.
