Arlington residents are invited to weigh in on the city's future as the Innovate Arlington Comprehensive Plan marches into its next phase of development. Throughout November, a series of meetings and pop-up events will provide opportunities for the public to review and comment on the draft Vision Framework, as well as potential growth scenarios, according to the City of Arlington.
The schedule kicks off with a Public Workshop & Open House on November 5th at the First United Methodist Church of Arlington, with attendees encouraged to voice their thoughts on future land use and quality of life issues. The pop-up roadshow will roll out across various districts in the following days, including stops at East Library & Recreation Center and the ACTIV Center.
Highlights of these events include the opportunity for community members to explore the work accomplished so far and discuss community priorities such as neighborhood character and economic vitality. The City of Arlington details the aim to offer "vibrant and safe neighborhoods with community pride" as well as to nurture an "innovative and thriving economy with opportunities for all." Attendees can expect to find, along with engaging discussions, complimentary food and Arlington-themed merchandise.
