NW at approximately 12:22 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found a 32-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man involved in the incident. Shortly afterward, a 54-year-old man, identified as Durante Tolliver, arrived at the scene and later left with the younger male.
As officers continued their investigation with the woman, a series of gunfire broke the conversation's flow from the parking lot. Arriving at the source of the disturbance, they found the 32-year-old male victim with fatal injuries. Despite the swift arrival of medical personnel, his story ended on arrival; his wounds silenced his narrative as the death pronouncement echoed in the early hours. Detained at the scene was Mr. Tolliver, whom preliminary findings suggest may share a lineage with the deceased. A statement from the Atlanta Police Department detailed the following day identified Mr. Tolliver as the suspect now facing charges for Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony. His birth date, August 1971, was noted, situating his life's timeline in the public record.
Mr. Tolliver's charges currently stand only as allegations, his guilt or innocence yet to be determined by the ritual of trial. As the Atlanta Police Department stated, "All arrests are public information. An arrest does not mean that the individual has been or will be convicted of the crime."
