The Atlanta Police Department is investigating the death of a 21-year-old man found on Interstate 75 near Northside Drive NW on last Saturday night. Officers from Zone 2 discovered the body around 10:20 p.m., and medical personnel pronounced the man dead at the scene.
As per the Atlanta Police Department release, the case has been turned over to the Homicide Unit, which is working to determine the circumstances of the incident. The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to establish the cause and manner of death.
The victim’s identity has not been released pending notification of relatives. Police are urging anyone with information to contact the Homicide Unit. Traffic in the area has been affected as investigators continue to gather evidence. The investigation remains ongoing.
