The Atlanta Police Department (APD) is calling on the community to assist in the identification of two female suspects linked to a recent shooting. According to a release by the APD, the incident took place at 244 Peters Street SW last Monday, September 22. The suspects have been caught on video, which investigators hope will lead to a swift apprehension.
The APD's Aggravated Assault Unit responded to the scene shortly after 7:30 P.M. on that date, finding a 51-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his abdomen. Despite the severity of his injury, the man was alert and responsive and was quickly being transported to receive medical care. The APD has released footage of the two women they believe to be involved in this violent act. The video has been made available online for anyone who might recognize these individuals. The police have not yet released the identities of the involved parties.
For those with information, APD makes it possible to contribute without fear of exposure. Tips can be submitted anonymously through the Crime Stoppers Atlanta tip line at 404-577-TIPS (8477), or online at their website. Moreover, texting CSA and the tip to CRIMES (274637) is another discreet avenue for citizens to help. Incentives are in place, too, with the possibility of a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to a resolution in the case.
