
The Atlanta Police Department is asking for the public’s help to find a robbery suspect known as “JJ.” He is wanted in connection with a pedestrian robbery that occurred early on August 16. Police have released video and photos of the suspect and urge anyone with information to contact them. The images can be viewed on the Crime Stoppers BOLO, according to an APD release.
According to the preliminary report, the incident occurred when the suspect approached the victim for a cigarette, a request which was subsequently denied. "JJ" allegedly escalated the confrontation by producing a firearm and coercing the victim into surrendering personal items. Anyone with details about the suspect's whereabouts or identity is encouraged to submit tips anonymously via various channels offered by Crime Stoppers. These include calling their tip line, visiting their website, using the P3 mobile app, or texting information to a designated number. Individuals providing tips can qualify for a reward of up to $5,000, and do not have to disclose their name or any personal information to be eligible.
