Banner Health is all set to bring advanced medical care to Goodyear with its new multispecialty Banner Health Center, an establishment that stretches over 65,000 square feet within the Goodyear Civic Square at GSQ. As the community's first significant health center of its kind, the facility gears up for its grand opening on Oct. 22 and is located at the up-and-coming downtown hub at 1800 North Civic Square, according to the City of Goodyear.

“Our mission is to make health care easier for people, and the opening of this new Banner Health Center, will do just that for the Goodyear community,” said Shiva Birdi, MD, chief executive officer of Banner Medical Group, as reported by the City of Goodyear's official website. The center is not just a boon to the community for its accessible location, but also for housing a variety of services including primary care, orthopedics, endocrinology, plus medical imaging technologies such as CT, MRI, and mammography.

Joe Pizzillo, the Mayor of Goodyear, spoke about the significance of Banner Health's arrival in the area, touting the benefits that it brings to the residents and the local economy. “The addition of Banner Health at GSQ is a tremendous benefit to our community,” Mayor Pizzillo stated, as stated by the City of Goodyear. He emphasized the importance of having quality health care available close to home and the role of such investments in enhancing the city's reputation as a place for living, working, and conducting business.

Ryan Companies US, Inc. and Globe Corporation have collaborated to develop and construct the new Banner Health Center, expecting to address the healthcare needs of Goodyear, which is among the fastest-growing cities in Arizona. “Our team is proud to have completed the Banner Health Center at GSQ in Goodyear, an innovative comprehensive medical care building designed to serve the growing healthcare needs of this vibrant community,” Jaime Northam, senior vice president of healthcare development for Ryan Companies, expressed with determination. Projected growth figures from JLL research indicate a significant increase in inpatient and outpatient volumes in the metro Phoenix area over the next five years, outpacing national projections, as noted by the City of Goodyear.

The GSQ development aims to create a vibrant, walkable downtown area where residents can enjoy not only excellent amenities but also top-tier health care. “The opening of this Banner Health Center is a big step forward in bringing the vision of GSQ to life,” George Getz, co-CEO, chairman, and president of Globe Corp., acknowledged the endeavor's significance in building a dynamic community space, as per the City of Goodyear.
