For the bookworms of Belle Plaine, it's time to mark your calendars for a brief pause in service. Scott County has announced that the Belle Plaine Library will shut its doors for a short stint from October 20th to October 29th to make way for some much-needed upgrades, including painting, recarpeting, and electrical enhancements. Fear not, as the doors are set to swing open once again at the crack of dawn on October 30th.
Those fretting over due dates will find solace in the library’s decision to extend the borrowing period for items due during the closure. As stated in their announcement, "We're extending the due dates on Belle Plaine items to ensure your items won’t be marked as lost." If returning items during the closure isn't a must for you, hold onto them until the library reopens. However, those keen to clear their slate can drop off items at the Jordan Library or another SCL branch.
Got a hold of Belle Plaine? They've extended the pickup timeframe, so you won’t miss out on your awaited titles. And if patience isn't your virtue, you can reroute future pickups to another branch easily via the online Catalog & My Account page or through the Scott Lib MN Mobile App.
Belle Plaine EA members aren't left out in the cold, as they can waltz into the Jordan, Elko New Market, New Prague, Prior Lake, and Savage Libraries conveniently between 6 am and 10 pm daily. Need a place to plug in and work? Wireless printing, computers, and more remain at your disposal in all other SCL branches.
