An accident has claimed the life of a woman in Bolton. NBC Boston reports that the incident, involving two vehicles, occurred yesterday at around 9:30 a.m at the crossroads of Wattaquadock Hill Road and Old Bay Road. Police investigation indicates the woman was behind the wheel of a Honda SUV on Old Bay Road when she collided with a pickup truck travelling on Wattaquadock Hill.
According to WCVB, the 59-year-old driver of the Honda was taken to the hospital following the crash where she later died from her injuries. The identity of the woman has not been released, awaiting notification of next of kin. The pickup, a Ford F-350, was being driven by a 20-year-old man, who reportedly did not suffer any injuries from the accident.
Bolton Police, alongside the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Section (CARS) Unit and the Worcester County District Attorney's Office, are looking into the cause of the crash.
