Collaboration between the Boston Police Department's specialized units and the Suburban Middlesex County Drug Task Force led to a key arrest in a narcotics trafficking case last Friday morning. The operation, which carried out multiple search warrants issued by Waltham District Court, centered on 34-year-old Brockton resident, Prince Denis. According to the BPD, the warrants encompassed Denis's person, his residence at 280 Hyde Park Avenue, and his vehicle.

Investigators witnessed Denis making a move reminiscent of the mundane, exiting from the back of the address with a brown paper bag, shortly before officers stepped in. The bag, deposited in a nearby vehicle, became the subject of their interest. Upon their approach, they identified themselves to Denis and notified him of the warrants. Along with the brown paper bag, subsequent searches resulted in the discovery of a key fob, keys to an apartment in Denis's residence, and a mobile phone.

The search extended to Denis's apartment, where officers found two bottles of lactose often used as a cutting agent in drug preparation, and a locked strong box suspected to house an undisclosed sum of money. In a move to clear any doubt, the keys Denis carried opened both the strong box and apartment.

Further scrutiny of the vehicle unveiled about 233 grams of a white rock-like substance - believed to be crack cocaine as well as personal papers validating Prince Denis's connection to the seized substances and property. In a revelation linking the narcotics to their owner, the vehicle was seized, becoming a subject for forfeiture through the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.

For his involvement in the trafficking of a Class B Substance estimated over 200 grams, Denis was promptly arrested. He faces charges put forth by state law and awaits his forthcoming arraignment at West Roxbury District Court.
