Two individuals were arrested in Downtown Boston following a police investigation into suspected drug and firearm offenses. The arrests occurred on Friday evening around 7:25 PM near the intersection of Causeway Street and Portland Street, as confirmed by the Boston Police Department. Officers assigned to District A-1 were on patrol and noticed what appeared to be a street-level drug deal taking place.

The responding officers approached and conducted an investigation that led to the arrest of Stephano Toussaint, 24, from Lowell, MA. Toussaint was found in possession of what was believed to be crack cocaine and fentanyl. A search revealed a "belly band" style holster under his clothing, as well as a Beretta APX 9mm semi-automatic firearm with ammunition and an obliterated serial number, as per the Boston Police Department.

Toussaint is facing a myriad of charges including trafficking, possession with intent to distribute various classes of drugs, firearm offenses, and assault and battery. The total contraband recovered included approximately 21 grams of suspected crack cocaine, a dose of suspected fentanyl, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. A second individual, Sharleen McNeil, 43, of Roxbury, was also arrested on the scene when it was discovered she had outstanding warrants for possession of Class B drugs.

Both suspects were taken into custody without incident and are slated for arraignment at Boston Municipal Court.
