The Boston Police Department (BPD) has issued a community alert, urging locals to offer assistance in identifying an individual connected to a recent shoplifting event. The incident, which occurred on September 23, around 3:30 PM at the East Coast Ivy store located at 126 Charles Street, is currently under investigation by detectives from District A-1, which encompasses the Downtown area. The BPD has released images of the individual they are interested in speaking with and are asking anyone with information to step forward.
With the aim of closing the case swiftly, the Boston Police have encouraged community members to contact the District A-1 Detectives directly at (617) 343-4571, for those who are more comfortable with a direct line of communication, as well as CrimeStoppers for those wishing to remain anonymous. In addition to phone calls, anonymous tips can be sent by texting "TIP" to CRIME (27463) or by visiting the Boston Police CrimeStoppers website, the BPD is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of informants, reinforcing the safe and responsible collaboration between law enforcement and the public.
