A daylight shooting today in Boston’s Roxbury neighborhood left one person with life-threatening injuries. The incident occurred around 1:07 p.m. near Lenox Street on Washington Street, and no arrests have been made at this time, as NBC Boston reported.
Police stated that the victim, identified only as an adult, was taken to a local hospital for treatment of critical injuries. Authorities closed off part of Washington Street to collect evidence and investigate the scene.
According to Boston 25 News, the Boston Police Department said detectives from the Homicide Unit are leading the investigation but have released few details regarding the motive or suspect. Drivers and residents were advised to avoid the area between Northampton and Lenox Streets as the investigation continues.
